ABOUT ME

Hello, and welcome to my website. My name is Tina, and I wanted to have a website so I can meet new people just like you and myself.

I was introduced to archery by my husband while we were both on active duty in the military. He has been into archery and bowhunting since 1969.

At first, I just went with him to 3-D tournaments around the state of Arkansas, using a camcorder to watch for his shooting form which turned out to be pretty good. Sometimes, I would record from behind him and at times kneeling in front of him.

It was so much fun meeting new folks and watching everyone having fun, that soon, I was after him to teach me how to shoot. After learning, I started going with him and participating in the shoots. I began having more fun than I ever imagined. Soon my oldest daughter wanted to learn how to shoot. Poor man, he didn't know what he was getting into. The next year, my youngest daughter wanted to start shooting.

As time went by and I seemed to get better, I began to win a few trophies and losing less arrows:>)

After a few years, he said I was ready to try out bowhunting. So, off we went, out to his favorite spots and tree stands. The first morning out, I heard some noise sort of behind me about one hour after sunrise. As time went by and the sound got closer and closer, I began to get more nervous. Soon, an animal appeared off to my right. As I watched the "dog" play and walk around, I realized it was a doe instead of a dog, HEHE. Soon the doe got into bow range and I began getting ready for the kill. As I started to pull the bow back, I had a pre-release and the arrow went out about 5 yards from the tree before falling harmlessly on the ground and the doe scurring off seemingly laughing at me.

In the summer of 1997, we moved out in the country where we bought 15 acres and got a triple wide mobile home. We started a small farm, with chickens, ducks, goats, and horses.

I love living in the country and not hearing all the cars and trains go by. Mostly out here, we hear the coyotes and the traffic on the highway about 1 mile as the crow flies. The open space is so beautiful and peaceful and we do have some spectacular sun sets out here.
